主講人簡(jiǎn)介：
大衛(wèi)·A·卡德維爾教授是英國(guó)皇家工程院院士，曾任劍橋大學(xué)戰(zhàn)略與規(guī)劃副校長(zhǎng)及工程系主任，具有豐富的高等教育管理經(jīng)驗(yàn)，曾推動(dòng)建立劍橋大學(xué)南京科創(chuàng)中心，并為多國(guó)政府及高校提供戰(zhàn)略咨詢(xún)。他的研究興趣主要集中在大塊高溫超導(dǎo)體及其在生成高磁場(chǎng)方面的應(yīng)用上，并于1998年成為歐洲應(yīng)用超導(dǎo)學(xué)會(huì)(ESAS)創(chuàng)始成員，并在過(guò)去18年中一直擔(dān)任該學(xué)會(huì)的董事會(huì)成員。Cardwell 教授在超導(dǎo)領(lǐng)域發(fā)表了超過(guò)400篇的技術(shù)論文和專(zhuān)利，在70多個(gè)國(guó)際會(huì)議上受邀進(jìn)行演講，并與世界各地的學(xué)術(shù)機(jī)構(gòu)和產(chǎn)業(yè)界開(kāi)展廣泛合作。
內(nèi)容提要：
This lecture offers a systematic overview of the University of Cambridge, beginning with its historical background and the factors that sustain its status as a world-leading academic institution. It will explain the unique collegiate system of Cambridge and its central role in the admissions process, along with an introduction to the university’s academic departments. The session will also detail the Cambridge education model for graduate applicants, including admission criteria and application guidance. Additionally, funding opportunities for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies will be outlined, along with an overview of associated costs. Finally, the speaker will share insights into the academic and daily life experience at Cambridge.
